Dear Peter:

MAPS is an outstanding example of how a "school to work" program can infuse everyday education with student creativity, hands-on-training and real-life business solutions to become a self-sustaining success! This program offers students an early opportunity to learn advanced communication technology skills that can successfully transition into quality careers. MAPS professional standard requirements teach students to achieve excellence and allow MAPS Media Institute to complete nationally for clients. These real-world experiences are rare to find in college, let alone middle school and high school.

The MAPS program and MMI promote important life skills like problem-solving, teamwork, and communication. The students that participate feel like they are making a difference in their communities...and they are. Projects like "A Fatal Addiction" and "Hungry for Knowledge, Go to College" are impacting students and adults alike all over the state. Peter, this program that you and many others have worked so hard to build is truly changing young Montanans' lives!

Montanan is fortunate to be home to MAPS, and I look forward to its continued growth and success.

Warm regards,

Linda McCulloch, Secretary of State
